The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the fandom. Starting with the gradual reveal of fresh additions ahead of the game's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.
Given many of the Super Forms boasting distinctive designs that highlight their traits, one idea naturally: How can link this with astrology? This list is based on a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was almost selected for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Remain on the good side of both and enjoy a strong partner; should you offend them, be ready to face the consequences.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Super Form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unashamed love of treats. Many past official descriptions mention their fondness for tasty tree sap and how it uses its appendage to hoard it everything, which is true Taurus energy.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Observe this total royalty. You cannot tell me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, offering an endless fountain of gossip to those who wants to hear. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly easy to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its ability to foresee an opponent's future actions, which sounds quite like a socially-savvy Gemini.
The Crab – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign famous for frequently getting wrapped up in their emotions. Per the official info, Mega Evolution fills the creature with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully control,” which seems a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. This Pokémon is also known for its ability to make a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Oh, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just went viral for being too fabulous (or terrifying, based on your preference). Fans couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s precisely the identical vibe a Lion brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s typical of a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly critical is clearly reflected across this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually shocked face like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s just like the symbol a Virgo sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Observe this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the sensors on its ears to tell how people are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and trying to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would probably just make them stress more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Super Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through sheer hatred and swore retribution on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a show. As a Sagittarius myself, the amount of occasions I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful small jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can think of.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to foresee calamities in advance? That gives the identical energy as a Goat, who often consistently believe they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a visionary Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Detached element Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is Leo, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire category fits seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
