Los Angeles Explodes in Celebration as Dodgers Secure Back-to-Back World Series Victory
The City of Angels experienced widespread festivities after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide joined local residents in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Local celebrations included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Online footage show countless of Los Angeles residents flooding downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player stated through an translator.
The procession path ended at Dodger Stadium, where the team emerged to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist cruising a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.

However, Mark Walter received a cooler reception at the celebration. Recordings from the event appear to show Walter walking onstage to a combination of applause and boos, with jeers punctuating his speech.
The World Series served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, fans this year showed as much if not more support.
“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
